We all get stressed out from time to time. But, when tension and worry start to affect our daily lives, it’s time to look for solutions.
In this post, we look at two effective ways for dealing with stress. Read on! 😉
WHAT CAN CAUSE US STRESS?
Too much sitting
We should get up and stretch every half an hour when sitting for long periods of time.
In Australia, more than 3,300 government workers were included in a study. Those who sat 6 hours or more in their workday were more prone to psychological distress than those who sat 3 hours or less. Source: Psychology Today.
Not enough aerobic exercise
During aerobic exercise, our breathing and heart rate increase. Such exercise has many positive effects on our well-being.
Aerobic exercise reduces the level of stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol) in our bodies. It stimulates the production of endorphins. Endorphins are substances that help reduce stress and relieve pain. Source: Harvard Health Publishing and healthline.com
Being stuck on negative thoughts
We can quickly get stuck in negative thinking. Surprisingly enough, the hormone cortisol plays a role in negative thinking, too.
Cortisol can actually stimulate our negative thoughts. Positive thinking requires more effort (until we get used to it, at least), and cortisol makes it even harder for us. Source: inc.com
Not practicing gratitude
Focusing on the things we lack puts us under pressure. Focusing on the things that we already have and feeling gratitude for them reduces our stress levels.
Several studies have shown that practicing gratitude lowers our stress hormones and enhances feelings of happiness and contentment. Source: positivepsychology.com

TWO METHODS FOR RELIEVING STRESS
1. Aerobic exercise
Aerobic exercise increases our breathing and heart rate. Examples of aerobic exercise are running, cycling, and swimming.
It’s important to include aerobic exercise in your exercise routine. Here’s an excellent half-hour aerobic exercise:
2. Relieving stress with dietary supplements
A very effective food supplements for dealing with stress are supplements with adaptogenic herbs, such as AdrenaLux – a food supplement that regulates cortisol and helps relieve stress.
